FAQ

I offer a free phone consultation to help you get a sense of me and for us to determine if I am the right fit for you, as well as to answer any questions you may have before the first session.

Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes in length, once a week unless we arrange otherwise. While not necessary, it can be beneficial to arrange for longer sessions for couples or family sessions.

Please call me for a discussion of my fees. I take payment with check, cash or credit card. There may be a sliding scale spot available for those who need a reduced fee. Fees are due at the time of your session.

Regarding insurance, psychotherapy is typically reimbursable if you have out-of-network provider coverage with your insurance. I can provide you with a statement of services which you can give to them.

I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. If 48 hours notice is not given for a cancelled appointment, you are still responsible for paying for the session.

Notice to clients and prospective clients: Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.  You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.  For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
