About me
After receiving my B.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley, I acquired my M.A. from Sonoma State University in Counseling. With over almost 20 years of work in the mental health field and ten years in private practice, I have worked in a variety of settings. These settings include: Pathways Home Health and Hospice as a bereavement counselor, the Community Counseling Clinic at Sonoma State University, Holden High School in Orinda, California working with teens and their families, and in a private practice serving a wide range of clients. This, all while getting specific training in CPTSD from Pete Walker, a specialist and author on the subject. My professional affiliations include the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the East Bay CAMFT.
I am extremely grateful to be able to do what I love professionally. It is a privilege to work with those who reach out with a desire to improve their lives and receive the support they need. It takes strength and courage to do so. I feel a strong investment in the well-being of my clients.
And the day came where the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.
